Gimme Shelter Hamden Treasurer, Cheryl Castellano, welcomes Chief Reynolds to Hamden with a $2,000 donation for Hamden’s Animal Shelter Gift Fund. The money was collected from 30 enthusiasts who participated in a MLB 13-Run Fundraiser.

Thyme & Season Natural Market has chosen Gimme Shelter as a recipient for its community-minded program; Tokens for Charity. Anyone who comes in with a reusable shopping bag can grab free tokens at the cash register to deposit in 1 of the 4 corresponding receptacles. All 4 organizations will receive something, but the group that gets the most tokens receives the largest donation. Tokens For Charity picks new recipients each quarter, so you may support Gimme Shelter with your free token(s) at Thyme & Season through December 31st.
Future:
True Love Pet Care, at 2985 Whitney Avenue #6 (Ives Street), will be having two fundraisers under one roof, on Sunday, December 3rd.
1, There will be a raffle for a 6-foot, fully decorated, dog-themed Christmas tree. Tickets are $20 each or three for $50. To purchase tickets you may Venmo Sherri Polzella @ SherriPolzella-5. All proceeds from this fundraiser go to One More Dog Rescue in Wethersfield, Connecticut.
2, The second fundraiser is for Gimme Shelter Hamden. It will feature dog and/or child pictures with Santa for a $10 donation (digital copy) or a $15 donation (printed & framed copy). There will be tarot card readings, gift vendors, raffles, and beverages. All proceeds from this fundraiser benefit the town of Hamden‘s Animal Shelter Gift Fund, for the first-ever Hamden Animal Shelter.

Hamden’s Animal Shelter Gift Fund is donated funds that complement the Town’s other Animal Shelter account which contains State funding. Why two accounts? Because donated funds for a specific purpose, as in a Hamden Animal Shelter, may never be reallocated for any other purpose. In these times when we are seeing an uptick in strays and abandoned pets, you can donate directly to this municipal account and support the first-ever Hamden Animal Shelter.
